AK-Glacier Bay, Wrangel Elias, Lake Clark, Matanuska glacier, Valdez?

Jump to last reply

First time visitors to Alaska. Planning to fly into anchorage, drive to seward- take a kenai fjords tour ( would have like to take a prince william sound tour through major marine more than the kenai fjords, but they only operate may 17 and the other one leaves earlier), then drive to matanuska glacier. then drive to denali np.

Would like your opinions on the following places:
-Glacier Bay National Park- i know this is only accessible by flying to juneau from anchorage and then boat or another flight? Is the extra expense worth it, or are the glaciers in kenai fjords, denali similar enough?
-What about wrangel elias np and lake clark-- it seemed like you have to fly to them because they're not road accessible, is this true? Is it worth a visit?
- matanuska glacier- should we go?
-what about valdez? is there anything to do there?

We want scenic places beautiful mountains, lakes, etc, but we don't care to see wildlife, sea life or other animals.

Tia
