Advice on Vegas eats near Mirage, for $25 per person

Let me say first, I have done the usual search on here about this topic and I've read all that. I just need more "price specific" info.

My husband and I have been going to Vegas for years but we usually just eat buffet. I'd like to try some new places to eat this year (not buffet), but we can only afford about $25 each. That doesn't need to include drinks, we usually just drink while playing table games. Also, we never eat appetizers.

From what I've read, Mon Ami Gambi is probably affordable for us at lunch, and maybe Bertollini's in the Ceasars forum shops. Any other suggestions? Oh, and within walking distance of the Mirage please. Thanks so much!

Here's another site to check out:

www.cheapovegas.com

I went to Vegas for my birthday this year, but it was a "price no object" trip; I think all of our meals cost quite a bit more than $25 a head, even excluding drinks (I can't have dinner without a drink, sorry). However, the Mirage coffee shop is reasonable and the food is actually pretty good, to offer one lower-price eatery.

Battista's Hole In the Wall is right behind the Flamingo and Barbary Coast. It's in a little shopping center with a convenience store. We eat there almost every trip to Vegas since my timeshare is within walking distance. I could go for a cup of their cappuccino right about now...

I "third" Battista's, it is a "neat" little place and their cappucino IS good isn't it Christie? Mon Ami Gabi is a good idea for lunch, most of the restaurants that are open for lunch have a "lunch" menu so the prices will be lower. Good thinking there. Also someone mentioned try to the coffee shops/cafe's at the hotels, they usually have a good selection of foods and the prices are reasonable. Inside the Forum shops is the Cheescake Factory and while it is a chain and you probably have one in your town, their portions are big enough for 2 to share one dinner.
Have a nice time!!

We hate buffets so rarely go to them (either at home or in Vegas, where we go several times a year).

If you don't have a PF Chang's in your city try the one at the Aladdin. Very good and you can certainly eat for below $25 each (we routinely do at PF Chang's where we live, and occasionally the one in 'Vegas too).

The Grand Lux at the Venetian is also a good choice - sort of "upscale coffee shop" with a wide variety of prices. Easy to get to from Mirage too.

Kahunaville at Treasure Island is fun, rather noisey at times but fun. Margueritaville at Flamingo is also fun (and also noisey). Both are within your budget.

There are a multitude of places to eat at the Fashion Show Mall (and I don't mean food court eats). The Mall is now accessible by overpass/escalator from Treasure Island meaning you do not need to rish life and limb crossing Spring Mountain Rd.

The Mirage has California Pizza Kitchen, always crowded but within your budget.

Mon Ami Gabi can be had for dinner at under $25 - just read the menu carefully and select carefully. Their lunch menu is less, of course.

Cheescake Factory at Caeser's Forum Shops would also fit the budget.

Mon Ami Gabi is amazing. Get there early and put your name on the list for outdoor dining. Its a long wait (not too long at lunch), but its such a neat place. You can people watch and watch the bellagio fountains. It is a must... seriously check out the menu... i think it is great for lunch and dinner, but its more of a lively place at dinner. While you wait you can play the slots or something, the wait is totally worth it. YOU HAVE TO SIT OUTSIDE... inside is nice but nothing special.

also, inside the mirage is california pizza kitchen... great pizza. Also, Cafe Ba Bariba at the Fashion show mall (across from the Wynn) is really good. And bertolinis is good and fun too. it is inside the forum shops with good people watching tables. Actually, the forum shops is a good place to find restraunts. Cheesecake factory, planet holleywood, and others. have fun.

The Stage Door Deli in the Forum shops area is very good. Their prices are much more reasonable than the Carnage Deli in the Mirage and I think the food was better too! The Deli in New York, New York is really good too.
