Hello,
We just need a bit of advice on a good
2 day getaway from atlanta burbs.
Our choices include:
1. lookout mountain/rock city/ruby falls
2. helen GA with side trips to Anna Ruby
Falls & amicalola
3. Anything else in north georgia?
Which did you find more interesting and
accessible (driving/walking)?
We are not very athletic types so would
prefer short walks.
Also, is rock city a problem for those
with height fears?
And finally how much driving is involved
out of atlanta burbs (northwest burbs)?
Am guessing 2-3 hours, correct?
Thank you !!
advice on short trip

How about a cabin rental in Blue Ridge in the north georgia mountains? It is so lovely that we bought property there. 2 websites for cabins:
www.thelastresort.com
www.blackbearcabinrentals.com
We tend to prefer Black Bear Cabins.
Have fun!
How about northwest Georgia in Dade County on Lookout Mountain. You're close to the borders of Tennessee and Alabama. I found the Scenic View Cabins a great place to stay for a fair price and I'm from California. It puts you a short drive from Chattanooga and all of it's attractions. This is there website http://www.scenicviewlogcabins.com/ for more information and some photos of the cabins. I would recomend calling to make reservations instead of doing it online.
