I am stopping off at Acadia NP in late, late September (around the 28th) for about 30 hours on my way to meet some buddies for a week-long canoe trip more inland. I will be getting to Acadia around mid-morning, camping overnight, and then will probably have to head on out around noon to meet my buddies in Princeton, Me. I am an avid photographer, and outdoorsman. My wants: Seclusion, with close access to rocky cliffs, trails leading down to the water.
I work in a busy city, so when I go on my outdoor adventures, I want to see as few people as possible, none if I had my way! All that being said, I do only have 1 day (I only need about 4-6 hours sleep). Which campground? Any specific trails?
