Ab Fab lunch in NYC

Has anyone eaten in the new Time Warner building yet? Any recos? If not, where would you go for a great NYC lunch, NOT in the theater district. Short of some recos I'm leaning toward Toqueville where I've not been.

I would go to David Burke & Donatella on 61st St. between Lex and Park. The food is fantastic, every dish is a winner. And the desserts are to die for. Be prepared to dish out the bucks though.

mclaurie, one of my favorite WOW! places to take clients (yes, New Yorkers) is the 21 Club for lunch. The burger is great and the atmosphere never fails to impress.

Every time I'm in there it is a great experience.

I would go to Aureole on the east side 60's... great food, service, etc. Been to Tocqueville, it's good nothing special though.

GoTravel we must have esp. I JUST recommended a burger at 21 to emd who's taking his/her daughter to NYC for a weekend.

I'm intrigued by bugswife1 suggestion. Don't know it's & very geographically desirable for my needs.

I love Auerole, JAS, and it too is in a good location for me. I was hoping to try someplace I haven't been though, but that's a great back up. Thanks.

Thank you bugswife1. I did go to David Burke & Donatella & thought it was great. Thought others would like to know they have a prix fixe 3 course lunch (I think it was $29 but not sure) that included everything on the menu except their "signature" dishes like the lollipop cheesecake. It was much more generous in terms of choice than other prix fixe I've had. My favorite of my 3 courses was my main entree-a scallop & shrimp dish that was heavenly.

I had a tempura appetizer that while good, was IMO, too salty. My butterscotch dessert was very good but I'd try something else next time (and there will be a next time). Thanks again Bugswife.
