I thought I'd post a quick trip report, really more a list of things we did:

We took Amtrak to Penn Station, with WiFi, it can't be beat for ease and comfort.

Stayed at The New Yorker for less than $200 including taxes and breakfast at the Tic Toc Diner. Would stay there again, nice room and great location.

Restaurants:

Bella Luna- great food, and the place was full of Fodorites!
Toloache-Midtown- we really liked this place! Really good Mexican food.
Nougatine at Jean Georges-worth the splurge, loved every bite.


Show:

One Man, Two Guvnors-This was good, and funny, but I'm not a fan of gross-out stuff, and even though it was pretty mild, It was too much for me at a couple of points in the show...

Steiff exibit at FAO Swartz:

I'm a fan of Steiff and was eager to see some really old examples that the store has on display at present, but it was SUCH a madhouse Sunday afternoon, very warm, and vitrines were scattered all over the store, so it was less than ideal.

We also walked Central Park from the SW corner to the NW corner. I've wanted to do a nice long walk there on previous trips, it finally worked out. Loved it! Loved seeing all the dogs, too!
