A week in Russellville
I will be working in Russellville for a week in December. I thought I might get some Christmas shopping completed. Please help with places to shop and places to eat.

Russellville, IN?
Russellville, KY?
Russellville, MO?
Russellville, OH, SC or TN?
Hey, at least we got a city name!! (Of course, when no city is mentioned, they can ONLY be talking about Manhattan...!)

I checked under the individual states, and this thread only comes up under Arkansas, so I'm going to go with that.
Russellville (Arkansas) is an interstate town. They have all the chain restaurants. As far as shopping, There is one strip-mall that I know of with a very small JC Penney, some other little shops (mostly chains), and of course, a Wal-Mart. I don't think there is a "mall" in Russellville, but you could drive into Little Rock (about 1.5 hours away).
If you have the chance to get out of town, head west toward Paris and drive up Mt. Magazine. There is some spectacular scenery and a visitor center. There is also a lake near Russellville, if you are willing to brave December weather.
Good luck and have fun!

I live in Russellville, Arkansas. There is a small mall, but it is not worth planning your shopping around. We have a Wal-mart, K-Mart, Penney's and typical smaller stores. If my wife really wants to shop she goes to Conway, Little Rock or Fort Smith. Conway is 45 minutes, LR and FS are an hour and 15 minutes.
The Holiday Inn has a good restaraunt with variety. La Heurta is good for Mexican, Italian Gardens for italian (naturally). Savanah's in Dardanelle has real good steaks. There is also a Dixie Cafe, Ruby Tuesday, Cracker Barrel, etc.
Russellville (Arkansas) is in a dry county. If you want a drink, you will have to pay 5 or 10 dollars to join the club at the Holiday Inn. If you want to buy liquor for your room, stop on the way. Blackwell has the closest booze, 20 miles down I-40 toward Little Rock.
May I ask why your coming to our neck of the woods?

Hi Russellville!
I am coming to Belleville to visit relatives and need the closest hotel/motel. I'm told there isn't one in Belleville, but can you tell me the closest one? Danville? Ola?
Thanks much!
