Hello!! I am planning a two-day trip with my friends (early 20s) in mid-end October.
I live in NYC and I cannot seem to find any place to go except Atlantic City and Montauk. (We've gone to both already)

We will be driving, so I prefer somewhere within 3hr driving distance.
We love mountains, waters, drinks, food, etc. So, anything you can share will help us a lot.


I know this is really broad, but I appreciate your help!!

What are your interests? Newport is a good suggestion. Casinos in CT? Mystic?

What about the North Fork of LI (no mountains though)?

With three hours I think you can get to the Berkshires, Hudson Valley or Catskills, though all may be hard to reserve because of the foliage season (you're past peak at that time, usually).
