A map for driving on Oahu

I'm looking for a good map to drive around Oahu,(not Waikiki) but the rest of the island. I've looked on Amazon and Borders and have come up empty. Does anyone know of a good map?

We found the maps within Oahu Revealed a www.wizardpub.com guidebook to be very helpful, and are found at Borders and Barnes and Noble for about 15$-)

Thanks, I have that book and the maps are helpful. I was just looking for one big road map so I could map out my day trips and not have to look back through the book.

We were there a few weeks ago and had a AAA map with us that was excellent (and free to members).

I recall free maps being distributed on some interisland flights, and of course rental car agencies such as Alamo have useful road maps, and agree <red>AAA<black> would be best for advance planning though personally have found driving around fairly easy without GPS. Websites such as mapquest.com can also help for quickly calculating shortest vs fastest routes, etc., though estimated travel is less reliable due to fluctuating traffic.

Last time I checked the <red>AAA</black> map is one map of Hawaii that contains most of the islands. Your friend might also inquire on your behalf for a free Tourbook of Hawaii as well.

There is a good island map in the free brochure:

www.visit-oahu.com You can order a free brochure. You can also view the entire brochure online.

www.aloha-hawaii.com Click on: Hawaii Almanac
There is a good Oahu map & a good Downtown Honolulu map. You can print them.

Good movie location map (free download):

http://www.discoveringhawaii.com/HGDAMovieDrive.pdf There are also many other good maps in the book.

I was trying to stay away from the all islands map.

Why? It's a very detailed map of Oahu on one side, with maps of the other islands on the other side.

Oh, to add, we just folded it so that only Oahu showed, and kept it in our car that way.

Mahalo and best of luck! <blue>Irish</black> .

Truthfully, the tourbook will probably fall short compared to guidebooks that you already have, though the price is right. The stunning drive to the North Shore along the windward coast is one of my most vivid memories of Oahu, and hope you post a trip report.
