A Little bit of Honeymoon here and some More over Where??

we are getting married on the day of the mayan apocalypsis 21-12-2012 and we'd like to visit perú and go to macchu picchu etc , if we survive we have aprox. 2 or 3 weeks in all. we would be flying in from ft. lauderdale or miami.

after the wedding + spending xmas + new years's with our families, i'd love to chill out, and get some R&R for a few days before departing for perú.
either in the west coast of florida, st lucia, which i've never been to, or barbados where i used to spend the happiest summers of my life, before departing for "the adventure in the sacred valley", so please pitch in... tell me i'm overly optimistic or that there are no connections, or ??? that i'm very wise.

a) st. lucia or barbados for 4 days?
or
b) florida's west coast: naples, marco island, ana maría island , sanible , captiva?

You would love Naples for the beaches, shops & restaurants, you can have whatever sort of holiday you want. It is very laid back.

You do realize that Machu Picchu is Inca not Mayan. So you might be allowed to live.

That was funny! If you really want to enjoy nature, I suggest going to florida's west coast where people seem to actually enjoy life everyday. On the other hand, if you want the love of your life to see what you have seen and enjoy what you have experienced, then, by all means, go to Barbados.
