7 pairs of shoes...
Thought the ladies might appreciate this. I made a packing list for Vegas yesterday during a VERY boring conference call at work (I must have looked very busy writing down so many notes haha!).
I wrote down a few outfits that I was going to bring, and then shoes to go along with. Then I realized that I had listed 7 pairs of shoes for only 5 days....oh boy!! My bf told me I was insane.
I just informed him that I really do need every pair as I always change from sightseeing/daytime outfits into dinner/bar clothes each day. And so of course I change my shoes And you can't wear the black shoes with the green dress, they need gold ones! Duh

After everyone deciding to go to different evening locales in Vegas (it's right there, let's walk!), I learned to carry a larger purse with room for comfortable flip flops or my (1 pair) of dress shoes;I've learned over the years that no one, not even other women, ever give a rat's ass about your feet!

I completely relate. I am just now (finally) getting over blisters acquired in Portland from wearing a certain pair of high heeled sandals. But my outfit wouldn't have looked very good with sensible shoes. So I guess it was worth it (at least to me).

You need to coordinate - one pair of evening shoes to match ALL you plan to wear for evening. (actually in Vegas I doubt very much if anyone really cares if you "match"). Lugging around suitcases filled with shoes is not fun. If you plan on walking around at night dainty little strap like shoes will not do it - your feet will die within minutes.

Tried that Lori, haha. I have several dresses I'm bringing and there aren't any pairs that go with all 3 outfits, so that's why I ended up with one black pair, one silver and one gold. oops
Luckily that's what cabs are for!!

Unless you can fit the shoes & whatever other 'necessities' you might have into a 22" drag-along, you'd not be traveling w/me...Thank God my wife is low maintenance. The fact that you 'wrote down outfits' is way beyond anything I could even begin to tolerate.

If you follow the rule of matching outfits, how many purses do you bring? Do you know you'll need a matching purse for every pair of shoes?
I would take a pair of black evening shoes, nice small evening black purse, black belt or scarf matching black shoes and whatever is the color of the dress, and that's it.
For daytime - 2 comfortable pairs of walking shoes or sandals, never ever wear only 1 pair every day! Even the most comfortable ones!
And yes, you can wear black shoes with a green dress if you have a black-and-green scarf.

We certainly agree there...I would suggest that this is an age/generation gap type issue but I'll admit I've always had a low tolerance for waiting on members of the fairer sex. Use what God gave you, all the icing in the world, can't hide the taste of the cake...

Haha, very true Sanparis. Us 20 somethings and our fashion And yes, most guys probably don't "get it" (including my bf).
Now that I think of it, I have it narrowed down to only 6 pairs, and one of them will be on my feet when we leave...therefore only bringing 5 pairs! Aren't y'all proud?
