6 New England states with preschoolers

Jump to last reply

Our vacation plans fell through for the week before Labor Day, so instead I'm going to take my boys on day trips to all 6 New England states that week. We live in southern NH, so we are pretty central.

VT...I think we'll go to Quechee and on the way to/from stop at Apple Hill Farm in Concord. Any other little stops along 89??

Mass...not sure yet. We got to Mass all the time. Maybe Rockport/Gloucester, or the Lowell trolley museum.

NH....Hopkinton State Fair on Labor Day.

Maine....Probably the York area for the day with a stop at York Wild Animal Kingdom.

Now I need help....what do I do in RI and CT with kids? In CT I'd like to focus on the northeast corner to keep the drive under 2 hours, but I really don't know what is there. And what about RI? They are too young for Newport.

Thanks!
