5 Day East Coast Road Trip
Hey everyone, I'm new at this and just looking for advice and ideas. I'm taking a vacation in November and want to plan a little 5 day road trip somewhere. I'm currently on Long Island. I haven't been on a vacation anywhere really so my options are completely open and I have no idea what there is to do!? Thanks for the help!

First, a "Road Trip" implies you want to do a lot of driving so you have to tell us how much of the 5 days do you want to spend "driving" and how much time do you want to spend actually "seeing/doing" something. In other words are you content driving somewhere different everyday making brief stops to see sights along the way or are you thinking more about driving to a specific destination and spending the bulk of your time exploring tHat particular area?
Second, what type of things and activities interest you? Do you like outdoor activities (may be limited in November) or do you prefer something indoors?
Some "destination" suggestions;
The Amish Country in Pennsylvania
Assateague & Chincoteague National Seashore in Delaware
Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia
Washington, DC
Philadelphia, PA

I don't want to travel non stop driving. I think of it somewhere away I can drive to and enjoy. Even a few places that are around each other or on the way but I don't want to drive more than anything else. I'm interested in really anything I like outdoor things and I like indoor things. I'm just not sure what there is to do in different places in November.

Sorry, but you haven't given us any real information about your likes/dislikes.
What type of "things" interest you? How do you like to spend your time? How far are you willing to drive to reach your destination? Do you have any budget constraints? Are you traveling alone or with others?

Go to Baltimore ...stay in the Harbor East section it's very close to inner harbor and it's safe..check out Fells Point, Canton etc.2 nights would work. ,,,Marc train to DC Union Station...2 block walk to a hotel in Capitol Hill lots to see and do and you can pick up subway to all other areas in DC...2 or 3 nights is good....Travel up to Annapolis the capital of Maryland stay the night or for the day is good walk around the historic parts on the water fun restaurants only 45 minutes back to Baltimore
