auntiemaria,
That is a great price! Is that something SunTrips frequently does in the summertime, having a last minute sale? I would hate to wait that close to the actual time of going due to the problem finding accomodations but maybe next year we should wait around and "wing it"! Hard for the planner in me to do that but maybe I should. Since I am a teacher, I have the most flexibility during the summertime to just get up and go. However we paid 200 to fly to LAX from Michigan and then another 700+ to go to Kona and Lihue. Do you highly recommend SunTrips?

Ashley,
LOL. I was having the same internal conversation as you were about winging it at the last minute versus planning way ahead. I've already got winter and summer 2006 planned and 2007 is starting to come together, so maybe I'll start winging it in 2008!
I've used suntrips several times to Hawaii and Mexico. It is a bit of a "cattle-car" operation, but they are fine and I don't have any complaints. My guess is that as soon as we drain our United FF miles we'll be using them more.
