Does anyone know if the Taste of Chicago is usually busier than normal on the 4th of July? We were thinking about going tomorrow but were unsure if it would be busier on the 4th or possibly less crowded.
Any help would be great!

Actually, my son likes to go on the 4th because it's usually not as busy.
Guess I should've added that, as you probably know, Chicago's fireworks are tonight. So I guess maybe a lot of people go to festivities/fireworks elsewhere on the 4th.
Less busy than the 3rd, yes...but not as quiet as a weekday. It also depends on the weather. It looks like rain today so that might control the crowds as well.
"but not as quiet as a weekday"
Good point, Gina. I'd forgotten to take into account the fact that the 4th falls on a weekend this year.
My son was there this past Tuesday and found it more crowded than he'd expected. Not sure whether that means anything...
Thanks for the replies. For future reference it was absolutely DEAD in the morning when it opened, which is how it usually is, but got busier as the day went on.
