4th of July in San Fran - what to do?

Hi! We are staying in San Francisco on 4th of July, and we're wondering if anybody can give us some suggestions on what we should do? When we have searched online we mostly found dinner cruises and stuff like that. Maybe there is a park where people usualy hang out? Concert?

We're 29 years old if you're wondering.

If you are looking for fireworks, based on the weather today and also "normal" weather this time of year - there is about a 50% chance that the fireworks will be "fogged out". I would just go to the Cow Hollow/Marina area and party with the other 29 year olds.

SFGate.com recommends seeing the fireworks from the Pier 39 area: http://blog.sfgate.com/stew/2014/07/...ks/#24762101=0

This year I'm going to try Aquatic Park at Beach and Hyde, near the Wharf. Weather reports are saying that the fireworks SHOULD be visible. Here's hoping.

If you're looking for more than fireworks/lots of people, you might find something of interest at the 7x7 website--select the date and SF and you'll come up with a long list of more organized events: http://events.7x7.com
