CECILE- Even an unfurnished apartment goes for $1500 a month on Maui, so you would be very lucky to find a furnished condo or hotel for less than that!

You might try the Maui Seaside hotel...perhaps they rent by the month for a discount.

I don't focus only on hotels or condos. A small studio or a cottage would be also interesting.

did you try vrbo.com? Some of them show monthly rates, over $1500 unfortunately, but maybe you could work out a deal for that long a rental.

have you tried the budget website and guidebooks? i'm thinking along the lines of Rough Guides, Lonely Planet, etc. I know there's camping and budget hotels on some parts of Maui. Maybe you can find something like that, then make a deal for monthly rates.

My MIL stayed in Kihei for a month in early 90's. I think she paid $1100 a month (it was by Kamole Beach #2) back then. So I've you get something for 15/ 1600.-, I think that's pretty good. You may want to check B&B's on Maui. Some may rent cottages or apartment type units for monthly rates.

cecileCH,

What dates are you interested in for your 3 month stay? My uncle has a condo in Kihei that they use from Nov through March. We will be there the first part of April but I can check what he would rent for after that??
