We are going to have 3 hours to spend in Chattanooga with 4 teenagers before our 8 hour drive back to Ohio. Can you guys suggest an activity that we could do in that amount of time? I was in Chattanooga overnight just once, 19 or so years ago, and I remember the incline as being fun. Is that something you would recommend?

Not sure about the incline but Chattanooga has an amazing aquarium downtown. You could easily spend 3 hours there and not see everything.
I think it depends on the kids. You could do the incline, or I agree with lmz - the aquarium is really fantastic. If the kids are into shopping, the North Chatt area is also fun to walk around.
Go to Lookout Mountain
See Rock City
Take them through
Fat Man Squeeze
Lots of fun for kids...
