3 Days in Downtown Seattle before an Alaska Cruise

Jump to last reply

We are flying into Seattle from New York and planning on staying in downtown Seattle for 2 days and 2 nights. We have already done a little research and we are thinking about taking the Light Rail from the airport to downtown where we will of course choose a hotel. How far is the ride on the Light Rail from the airport to downtown Seattle? Is there a train number? Is it easy enough to carry luggage on the train?

We are also looking at many hotels and the Maxwell Hotel seems to be a very nice place and is suppose to be central downtown and close to Port 91 where we sail on our Cruise. Has anyone stayed in the Maxwell or does anyone have any recomendations of nice hotels in downtown. Since we only have 2 full days and nights in Seattle what are the must do"s and places we should not miss. Any information is very much appreciated.
