I just had a successful bid on Priceline for the Marriott Waikiki Beach and Resort, but the parking is expensive. Any suggestions for cheaper parking nearby?

I stayed across the street from the Marriott there a couple of years ago and parked up the street at another hotel that had in and out privileges (self-park) but did it in 24-hour periods. I seem to think it was about $12/day. Can't remember the name of the place - sorry. But there are parking alternatives available if you are trying to save a few bucks.

Regarding taxis in Waikiki, they too are expensive. We spent between $25 and $30 (including tip) everytime we we went to or from our hotel to a restaurant when we were in Hawaii last Fall.
Sorry, but paying for parking, exhorbident as it is, is still cheaper than taking a cab.

Any suggestions for less expensive parking up near the Hilton Hawaiian Village? Will be staying at Hilton Double Tree with another $25 charge. I am not sure whether this is $25/day or $25 everytime you enter. Advice would be appreciated. While we're at it, how about breakfast suggstions in that neighborhood. Many thanks.

"Any suggestions for less expensive parking up near the Hilton Hawaiian Village?"
You can park at Hale Koa garage or their open lot for $12 a day, minimum 3 days.

Oh, my Ghandi, I cannot believe nobody has included this old joke already:
A woman walks into a bank on Maui and asks to speak with a loan officer. The woman is leaving the country on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for such a loan, so the woman hands over the keys to a new Rolls Royce parked on the street in front of the bank.
Everything checks out, and the bank agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan. An employee drives the Rolls into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.
Two weeks later, the blonde returns and repays the $5,000 + the interest which is $15.41.
The loan officer says, "We are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is why would you bother to borrow $5,000?"
The woman replied, "Where else in Maui can I park my car for 2 weeks for $15.00?"

It is old joke as I say, bluefin.
You have the softwares to edit this, for next time, yes? I change the 4-5 blondes for womans an edit on first round. One went past me. You have a good eye.

What does the joke police do?

AR,
I thought your joke was hilarious. I was just trying to interject additional humor into your humorous post
Me - joke police?!?! Hardly. I prefer to see more humor on these forums rather than less
For instance, how can the OP "enjoy life" on Oahu when they're fretting over parking charges?
Sometimes, you've just got to roll with the punches at crowded, built-up destinations like Waikiki in order to "enjoy" the benefits
