21 days down - 2 to go
Finally was able to get to a computer without paying big bucks to log on to the web. Just thought I'd check in and say hey.
We get home from our honeymoon on Friday and Sunday I'm going to Boston for work for 3 nights. That will give me time at night to write a nice long trip report.
But for now - We love Kauai, had a nice wedding. LOVE SECRET BEACH HIDEAWAYS - WHAT A WAY TO SPEND A HONEYMOON.
The Hyatt was nice - just a big hotel. It was a 10 minute walk from our room to the lobby.
We ate a Tidepools (about average), JoJo's Shave Ice (excellent), Princeville (Above average), Nadines (above average), Blues Sushi (fair), Kiluea Bakery, Banana Smoothies (no big deal) Brickoven (below average pizza we both thought)
Activities:
Helicopter - Air Kauai - Excellent. We were suppose to go on Interisland Air but I'll tell you more about that later.
Zipline - fun but would rather have spent the day snorkel on the northshore as we didn't have enough time to do that.
Hike at the end of Ke'e beach - awesone. We only went as far as the beach. That was enough.
BI - no lava. NVP was interesting but not awesome. We hiked some. I would highly recommend the Rainforest retreat cotteges - the Bamboo cottege was wonderful. We ate at the Kiluea Lodge - again great food.
Kona Village. Very fun, different place. Loved food and huts but we both agreed that it should have been half the price. Turtles everywhere here. More on this in my detailed report.
Maui - 4Seasons was awesome.
Awesome food at:
Nick's
Sansei
Mama's
Spago's
Great inexpensive food at
Manana's Garage
Tommy Bahama's
We had a blast sailing with Rainbow Chaser II. And unexpectedly swam with about 200 dolphin that swam into the cove we were snorkeling in. AND I didn't have my underwater camera!!
We also scuba dived with Maui Dreams Dive Co. off the shore in Kihei with scooters - what fun that was.
Now were are on Molokai at the Lodge. Very relaxed and different. Except for seeing the Pacific, I feel like I'm in Colorado on a nice fall day.
Today we are on to Honolulu to stay at the Halekulani.
Thanks for all of you help and again - I will give more details later.

JohnD - I went for a walk through the Grand Wailea just because you like it there so much it was too spread out for me - it had beautiful grounds and I loved the lobby.
Also, you convinced me to go to Mama's after reading so many replies to peoples questions on resturants. I went back and forth for months but you were the last vote and I'm so glad we went. It was fabulous. We had to cancel are evening reservation that night because we were still stuffed from Mama's. Thanks.

Hope this isn't too late for you but Inter-Island cancelled us even though I had recomfirmed the week before. They said they called the Hyatt and didn't find our name and thought maybe we had decided not to come. Funny that we had no problem when we check into the Hyatt although when inter-island call the Hyatt - it was before our check-in.
Anyway, I feel that they had a request for the waterfall tour and we were only signed up for the "non-waterfall" trip. So I think they cancelled us to get more money with the other people wanting to make the waterfall stop, but that is just my opinion.
