2 island desperation

planning a trip to Hilton Hawaiian Village and then on to Maui for July. Need help deciding whether or not to get 2 connecting rooms in the Rainbow Tower or go with 2 bedroom Lagoon. Also, on Maui, can't decided between Embassy, Westin and Hyatt. Can anybody help this poor middle-aged woman with a husband and 3 kids?
