Hi, my husband and I are planning a trip to Nantucket for July and are wondering where to stay. We are in our late 20's and would like to stay in town, close to any nightlife, restaurants, shops etc. We really don't want to spend more than $400/night, any suggestions?

I think at 400 a night you should have a few choices. You might be able to get a basic room at the White elephant, which is very nice. the jarred coffin house is nice as well. There are really so many options. I would go on www.nantucketchamber.org and look at accomodations and view some of the wesbites.
Don't know what July rates are, or availability, but the Cottages at the Boat Basin are delightful! http://www.thecottagesnantucket.com/
