1.5 days from crater lake to Oregon coast

I have 1.5 days to drive from crater lake national park to bandon dunes in bandon Oregon. Not scared of a long day of driving. Any suggestions on routes?

I believe the road around Crater Lake is still closed due to snow. When is your trip?

Day 1 - Crater Lake to Brookings OR via OR 62, OR 234, I-5, US 199 and US 101. Stop at the Oregon Caves on US 199 if you want, but plan on spending significant time in the Jedediah Smith redwoods on US 199 near the junction with US 101.

Day 2 - Brookings to Bandon. Plan on many stops for spectacular coastal scenery between Brookings and Port Orford, maybe do a short detour out to Cape Blanco (very wild feeling, nice lighthouse.)

Both are fairly short days, particularly if this is during long summer days.

If you travel south of Bandon the scenery is spectacular! One of the most scenic places south of Gold Beach is Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor. If your not afraid of long drives you'll be glad you took the time to see this amazing place. the entire corridor is amazing, but don't miss Natural Bridges as it's easy to miss the pull out. Lots of info on the Oregon Coast at Travel Oregon and Oregon Coast Explored's websites.

Also not sure if your heading this far south, but if you do make it to the Redwoods the Boy Scout Trail is an amazing 2.8 mile hike close to Crescent City.

Current road conditions at Crater Lake NP. https://www.nps.gov/crla/planyourvisit/conditions.htm
The north entrance MAY or many not be open by July 1.
