10 day from Phoenix Itinerary needed to Grand Canyon and Southern Utah
We are flying from Maryland into Phoenix Apr.25 at 6:30 PM, planning to drive to Sedona for the night then on to Grand Canyon day 2; day 3 Lake Powell; day 5 and 6 Zion and Bryce; day 7 Capital Reef; Day 8 and 9 whatever else we can do and return to Phoenix to fly out day 10 AM. Is all of this possible. Any itinerary suggestions?

A few years ago, we did something similar, however maybe not as extensive. We flew from the DC area to Phoenix. Drove immediately to Sedona, a very do-able drive, maybe 90 min? (can't recall specific time, but it was easy). 2 nights, then on to the North Rim for 1 night (should have allowed for two nights). This was a long drive, but it was ok. got a bit tedious, but not terrible. Then from the North Rim, drove to Lake Powell for 3 nights, again, a long drive, but well worth it, a wonderful stay right at the marina. From Lake Powell, we drove back to Sedona for 2 nights, and then back to Phoenix. Our recollection from this trip was that it was a heck of a lot of driving, but one of the more fun family vacations we've had. If you are at the South Rim, its not so far a drive to Lake Powell. I think, however, if you cram any more driving into this trip, it might be a bit too much.

Phoenix to Sedona 115 miles
Sedona to S. Rim Grand Canyon 120 miles
Grand Canyon to Lake Powell 140 miles
Lake Powell to Zion 117 miles
Zion to Bryce 85 miles
Bryce to Capitol Reef Via Hwy 12 is 120 miles
Capitol Reef to Phoenix 540 miles
I would be tempted to skip either Lake Powell or Bryce on the way up to Capitol Reef and hit it on the way back to Phoenix. Bryce to Phoenix is 365 miles and Lake Powell is 275 miles from Phoenix. One day is going to be spent driving back to Phoenix and I would add the other extra day to one of the places you will already be visiting.

Itinerary for Yellowstone, Gtetons and Glacier in progress. What do you think about this plan.
Day 1,2,3, fly into Jackson and do Grand Tetons
Day 4,5 stay Old Faikthful Inn in Yellowstone
Day 6, 7 stay Mammoth Hot Springs
Day 8 drive to glacier out of North Yellowstone entrance
Day 6-8 stay St/ Mary's lodge
Day 9 drive to Waterton and stay theresomewhere
Day 10-11 stay in West Glacier
Day 12 fly home from Missoula
Any suggestions? Also can I fit Beartooth Hwy in there sometime?

heyjude,
I would 1st suggest posting this as a separate question using a new title!
If this were my trip, I would spend one day on the east side of Glacier at St. Mary's. If you wanted to make a day trip up to Waterton then I would spend two nights there. West Glacier is more scenic and would add a day there and this would also make enought time to do the Beartooth Hwy IMHO.

We did the following last spring, and it worked out great -
Phoenix to Sedona - 1 night in Sedona
2 nights south rim GC
1 night Page/Lake Powell
1 night Bryce
2 nights Zion
2 nights Vegas
The ride from Zion to Vegas is only about 3 hours, and the airfare was the same as a Phoenix RT.
