10 day anniversary trip to Oregon Coast

Jump to last reply

coming down from Kelowna, BC Canada on the 97, and thought we'd do the following:

spend a night in Lake Chelan, WA
drive down to Hood river - 1 or 2 nights in that area (visiting Portland as well)
head over to Astoria - or do we go straight to Cannon Beach?
Spend a few days down the coast - probably one night up north, and another 1 or 2 in the south visiting the dunes. not sure where to stay - thinking of camping on the coast if we could
head down to Avenue of the Giants - stay in Garberville? Might be a long day from Florence area all the way down though...
then come back home - bomb home on the I-5 then head into the 97 at Portland (would overnight half way up.

Suggestions? looking for great places to stay - would love to avg $120 a night or so, and we'd love to camp in spots, and splurge in others. Good restaurants? Hikes? Other things not to miss? We're fairly active, and not the museum type. Always love a good wine bar, coming from Canada's wine country
Any suggestions would be great!
