1 week vacation in Maine ~ need help!
Will be flying into Portland mid July with another couple that has never experienced New England. Would like for them to see Acadia National Park but would also enjoy a few nights on a beautful lake or in a charming coastal village. Any suggestions on how to plan our week in Maine?

More info needed! Do you expect fine dining and shopping or will a good seafood place do and you would prefer staying in a less crowded area? The top of Mt Battie in Camden is a great place to picnic with one of the finest views in Maine but maybe you would prefer air conditioned restaurants?

The Beach Cove hotel in Boothbay Harbor is located on a private little lake, with rowboats for use and a picnic/bbq area for guests. The ocean and the village are only about a mile away, so you get the best of both worlds.

Kennebunkport and Ogunquit are great places to visit in Maine on the ocean. Beachmere and Meadowmere are great resorts.
