Ugh! It might rain in NYC on my trip!
I am very happy that no rain is forecast for my birthday, but it looks like there might be rain for the rest of my trip--and rain on a day that I plan on going to the Bronx Zoo---which might have to be canceled since watching animals in the rain is probably not that much fun.
Sigh.
A big part of my trip is just walking around and taking pics of all the sites and the feel of the city----overcast is not too good.

The Zoo is not really best this time of year, even if the weather is not rainy. We tried to take our 2 year old son there 2 weeks ago, and many of the outdoor exhibits are not open. We live here, BTW.

Some of my best memories of NYC are about times when it was raining! It is more likely that you will have snow if your are going in the next few days. You can still get wonderful pictures when it is overcast. Nothing you can do about the weather....just make the most of it...and...Happy Birthday!

It rained every day of my last trip to Tokyo. It happens, and you readjust your scheudle if you have to, or you take an umbrella, a rain jacket w/a good hood, and waterproof shoes (short slick boots are good). It rained 3 our of 4 days on my trip to NYC in August, and it poured the day we went to the NY Botanical Gardens to see the Chihuly exhibit, plus it was freezing even though it was end of August. We had a blast.
