Where to Study in France

Bonjour!

I am a University student (around 20 years old) that is looking to study in France next summer 2014! I have been doing so much research and I've just gotten so overwhelmed with all the information. Bottom line, I do not know where I should go to study!

For now, these are the ones that I am considering:
CLE in Tours, France
l'Institut de Touraine (Tours, France)

I am planning to live with a host family and I'm looking for a language institution that is able to find quality and warm, friendly families to live with! I want an language school that can improve my oral french and my goal there is to be immersed in French!

Do you have any suggestions of where to go or any reviews on the schools I have considered?

Welcome to Fodors. You will get more replies if you post this on the Europe board, tagged France. You might also explain why you have chosen Tours, and whether you would consider a different location.

I'd say you need advice on which courses and schools to chose, not advice on which place to live in. Since this is a travel forum, not an educational forum, I don't think you are going to find many people here who can advise you on which institution to choose.

I suggest you look for forums that deal with education and languages. Example: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=98

Not so IME. MANY fodorites have studied in France or have kids who have done so.

As thursdaysd suggests, You need to re-post over on the Europe forum.

As Janis mentioned, some of us have personal experience with this.

Our DD used http://www.apistudyabroad.com/ for her study abroad term in Paris. They have a couple locations in France, and for summer they have 2 sessions so you can either one, or both. DD had a good experience with them.
