What to wear in Ireland in July

Traveling for 2 weeks throughout southern Ireland in early July. What should we plan on packing. I know it could rain often, do you need to dress up for anything?

Ireland is fairly casual, even for nice dining. You should be fine in nice slacks or skirt for that.

Layers is the name of the game in Ireland. It can be warm and sunny in the afternoon, misty and rainy in the morning, and then cold and windy at night. I was always fine with short and long sleeved shirts, slacks, and a shawl for those chilly/windy evenings. An umbrella or rain poncho are helpful, as well. Wear shoes that can stand up to weather!
