Wedding/Honeymoon in the Caribbean

I am planning a destination wedding/honeymoon for my girlfriend and I and am trying to decide the best destination. I have the Resort taken care of anywhere i go. We are trying to pick the destination I suggested PR but I have been there St Thomas and St Martin and she would prefer a place that neither one of has been. We are looking for a mix of relaxation and adventure. Some place that is not too crowded like some of the cruise ship destinations which by the way that is the only way I have been to any of them. We would like to be able to relax on secluded beaches as well as go horseback riding, snorkeling and parasaling.Clubs and bars are nor a needed activity. It would also be nice to be able to ride a bus of rent a car and easily get around withour spending hundreds on taxis.
Any useful info on island expereince would be appreciated especially from anyone that has honeymooned or married there.
Thanks

Welcome to Fodors. If you have settled on the Caribbean you should use the "Change Forum" option above and re-post this on the Caribbean forum. This forum is for general questions and gets little traffic.

I agree--you should post in the Caribbean Forum. But, what do you mean when you say you have the "Resort taken care of anywhere I go"?

Does that mean you will only stay at a certain hotel chain? If so, that will limit your choices.

St Lucia quite pretty fits the bill for you in many ways
jademountain.com Hotel Chocolat both nice based on budget
roundhill.com Jamaica also.

Congrats and happy planning PM if needed.

Turks and Caicos is a great place for Destination weddings, specifically Grace Bay, in Providencials. It is a 12- mile long sandy beach with crystal clear waters perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, sailing or whichever other activities you enjoy. They are always holding beach weddings if that is what your looking for and are always offering great packages (including wedding).
If not Dominican Republic could be a good option for a destination wedding. I have been several times, my main recommendation being Casa Colonial Boutique hotel. It is located in Puerto Plata which is a beautiful little town. The resort also holds weddings on the beach and the place is absolutely picturesque.

Caribbean is A very good choice and have a lot of relaxing beaches and also many adventurous things to do as well. SO it would surely be a destination to satisfy all your demands for your honeymoon.
You should surely try an underwater submarine tour in Aruba, Dive with sharks in the Bahamas, Watch birds in Trinidad, Caving in Barbados, St Lucia’s Aerial Tram and most thrilling Go zip lining in Puerto Rico and a lot more is waiting there for you. I am sure that you will enjoy a great deal of privacy and adventures there.

Grand Cayman is a very nice island. It is a quieter island, does have cruise ships in town unfortunately. There is great snorkeling. You can parasail. The evenings are more nice restaurants and beach bars. It is low-key.

Bermuda is a beautiful island and also has cruise ships. I don't know of too many places that don't!
Bermuda will have many water adventures and horse back riding and quiet beaches with nice resorts and dinners.

Aruba has nightlife and lots of watersports. The island itself is a desert but the resorts give plenty to do with good food and activities.

I have heard wonderful things about Nevis, but I don't think the snorkeling is great there. There are no cruiseships anywhere near there.
