USB Memory Key for travel documents

I've purchased a 256Kb USB memory key/SD card combo, with which I plan to load important travel documents, such as scans of my passport, etc. The SD card I am thinking of wearing it on my body, while the USB will be in my hand luggage.

Any suggestions of what information I load on to both devices? I have some ideas, but I want to make sure I don't miss anything. Also, so kind of password protection for the devices would be useful, if anyone has any suggestions. (Encrypting it with portable TrueCrypt is not ideal, as TrueCrypt requires administrator access on the host computer.)

I do that.

I put on a copy of my passport, a copy prescription, A copy of my airline tickets and that's about it.

If i'm doing a longer trip i add to it as i make reservations.

Most internet providers (earthlink, aol, etc...) provide their users with free web space, either to build a small website or store pictures, etc...

I think it's smarter to upload these documents instead of carrying them around with you. Then you can access them from any computer should you need them.

Wow, thanks for the suggestions. I'll update my list now.

Jim, the USB key/SD card can be useful if you are in a location where Internet access is not available, like for example, in a police station.

I make a big pdf file of passport, credit cards and prescriptions, then encrypt it in Acrobat. It saved me once.

I agree Sydney...that it is useful if no internet access is available, but I'd bet money that a police station is not one of those
