We're getting married Labor Day weekend of 2012, and we're looking to leave on a honeymoon on Monday (Labor Day). We're looking for a destination with a tropical beach, but we would like to have activities to choose from such as snorkeling, hiking, etc.--more than just sitting on the beach.
An all-inclusive resort or cruise is appealing since we'll be coming off the stress of planning a wedding, but it's hard to find an affordable option. Also, we'd be looking for a cruise that leaves late Monday (on the west coast) or later in the week (from any other port).
Does anyone have ideas of destinations/resorts/cruises? Thanks!
Tropical honeymoon in September

weather2travel.com lots of rain in Carib then
mexico.bookit.com Cabo Dreams or Pueblo Bonito or Fiesta Americana low rain then.
For me in the past priceline.com to Konaweb.com princeresotshawaii.com Hapuna Prince packages priceline.com flight hotel car $1Kpp super romantic and nice less than one inch of rain per month all fall.
Congrats!
vacationstogo.com discount cruise options ok not great if you like active vacay too much time at sea. Best hiking www.stayhawaii.com Volcanoes NP is truly awesome for this.
First 'problem' is your month of travel. I'd normally suggest the Caribbean, or coastal beach resorts of Mexico, but September is rainy season pretty much all those places.
Maybe Hawaii?
