Traveling by Motorcycle

We are going to be riding throughout Europe for 4 months beginning June 1st and wondering if anyone out there has driven this mode of transportation and can offer suggestions about driving, must see stops on the way,great small b/b's or hotels that are motorcycle friendly.
WE will eventually be coming into Greece for 2 weeks from Albania and Croatia and wondering about ferries to islands we should see. I see in another post about the gtb.gr site.
I know there will be hundreds of special sights to see on our travels and would love to hear about you should not miss this!
We are traveling through France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and then Greece.
