Travel Tote to attach to rolling bag

I (a woman) am looking for a tote bag that will slip over the handle of a carry on rolling bag. The perfect tote would be very roomy. High end is ok - but all suggestions appreciated!

just about every tote will slip over a rollaboard handle. There are literally thousands of options. Everything from LeSportSac (very good and very roomy), Kiplinger, Baggallini - up to as high end as you want.

Thanks for your reply! I'm looking for a piece with a sleeve that fits over the handle of the suitcase so that it will stay secure and in place without falling to the side. I saw something in a magazine months ago... and I can't remember the name!

We use a regular old, cheap binge cord that you can get at any hardware or auto part store for about $2. It securely attaches the tote to roller bag in an instant and comes off and stores just as easily. No need to pay $15 for fancy version.

I know what GinaLola is asking about, but I don't know a specific brand to suggest. It's like a thick strap that is across the back of a nice purse, so it slips over the handle of the roll-aboard.

I just bought this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's small enough to use as an under-the-seat tote (does have the ability to slip over a wheeled handle) or you can use it as overnight bag too.

Now if it only had wheels! I want one like that but with wheels, for the times I do check my bigger bag, I hate carrying the littler carryon. I have hound those, but no "back strap" to slip over the main bags handles. Someone needs to invent one!

We just went into a HUGE luggage shop here in
Paris. I could find small, wheeled case; a case with the strap to allow the small case to fit over the telescopic handle but of ALL of the cases we looked at, there was only 1! It wasn't all that light weight, was like a small hard sided plastic suitcase but the strap looked pretty insignificant. There were hundreds, but just that one that had both features.

I've bought and tried a small wheeled carry-on (TravelPro) and HATED it. Having two bags both with wheels definitely did not work for me!

Me too Suze. I found that the wheels just made it big enough that I had to put it in the overhead compartment. I like something that I can reach while seated and don't have to wait till the no seatbelt sign is off. Plus this one has some great pockets both in and out. If you look at the link in one of the different colors you'll see other photos.

The shoulder strap is pretty long and if I had to I could wear it crisscross to keep my hands free.

I just use a roomy handbag -- I teach packing classes and have tried many different styles/makes -- many comped by dealers.

I personally don't like a separate carry on (besides my 20 inch rollie bag) that is only good for the plane rides. I like a floppy hand bag w/ lots of pockets and zippers. Good for the flight but also nice enough looking to use for city trips/shopping/nice meals. I used to use Le Sport Sac almost exclusively but now I have a Steve Madden I love -- Its a dark gray w/ an olive tinge. Love it and it easily fits either on the handle of my rollaboard or as a shoulder bag or a cross body so works any time/anywhere.

I found a smaller rolling tote 16x15-1/2 (including the wheels)x7 that slips over (and also off) a handle easily and will go under the seat (though not an aisle seat). The wheels are sturdy, large enough but not too large, work perfectly. I really like the two sections for organizing, and my netbook fits nicely in the front pocket. It's nearly impossible to get anything out of any bag under the seat in front of you with the seat belt on anyway. (I found it somewhere online a few years ago with a Google search for $30 including S&H.) The zipper pulls say "Windham".

I much prefer a tote with wheels (but not one of the huge and heavy ones) as it's easier to manage (and keep track of) at the airport and also doubles as a grocery chariot at our destination. I use it for essentials only, mostly (my fragrance free toiletries), spare glasses, change of top and underwear, gadget accessories and charging cables, pharmaceuticals (should my checked bag go astray). And, a bottle of water for the plane. Most of all that goes into the checked bag on the way home to make room for purchases or duty free where I tend to stock up on things packed in bottles, cans, etc.

The strap on this one is the same material and width as the cross straps (as opposed to a very wide fabric strip), so very easy to slip on/off the handle of the bag I'm checking. I've used this to France and back and during connecting flights about ten times now and just love it. People in airports ask me where I found it.

Sorry, off topic, DebitNM, how was your La Pedrera Suite experience? I was the one who stayed couple of weeks before you... hope you had a wonderful stay just like us. It was perfect!

I found it! This is just what we wanted, got it at a really good price today, while walking on Rue De poissierors (sp?)

I couldnt remember who had been there before us, Nina! Glad you posted. It was very nice except - we found that the master bedroom needed shades, it was unbelievably bright in it, you could almost read. Also, we had issues with running out of hot water during second shower.

I discussed these issues with Habitat and they were most interested in my feedback. Too bad they didn't post my review on their website. I noticed someone else complained about the light situation, and they said they would address it. That was end of October, so I guess they really don't care. I would have brought sleep mask if I knew it would be that light.

here is a windham wheeled tote -- I have been wishing my samsonite tote had wheels as it can get very heavy carrying it over the shoulder. This may be just the right size to replace it. Thanks, djkbooks!

Patandhank - That is exactly what I am looking for! I have a wheeled bag... but want something to put under the seat in front of me...and also something that won't flop off the top of my wheeled bag when walking through the airport! Thanks.
