We love to stay in homes and condominiums when we travel with our family, but we just don't have the time anymore to devote to searching various vacation rental websites. Is anyone familiar with a travel agent who can make trip arrangements in the US that include this kind of non-hotel lodging arrangement? I'm assuming there would be a special fee for this kind of service.

If you check out the visitor centre website they always have homes and condo's to rent for either short or long stays. We have had lovely condo's and beach homes by 'googling' for 'vacation homes to rent (with the area you wish to visit)'
Try vrbo.com it has a listing of rental condos, apartments and houses all over the world.
One reason most people no longer use travel agents is that there's nothing worse than finding out later that you could have done much better yourself.
It's far better to find a way to spend the time to do your own research than be miserably disappointed.
