Tips and Trip Ideas for Mother-Daughter Trips

Jump to last reply

My mom called me this morning to see if I'd consider a trip to Key West with her this fall. I like road trips and I imagine driving down from Miami blaring some loud tunes (cue Joni Mitchell, Sharon Jones, or another songstress we both love) would be a nice bonding experience...so this idea of hers is definitely on my radar. She's coming up to visit me in the "big city" this weekend...so I'm sure we'll talk more about it then.

Anyway, Mother's Day is this Sunday---and in honor of the holiday, I thought it would be fun to devote a thread to mother-daughter (and mother-son) trips that you've taken or destinations that you would recommend to a friend trying to plan a trip with their daughter or mother.

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions-- any personal stories?
