tipping to photograph

Jump to last reply

I'm planning a trip that will include travel into the Navajo and Hopi reservations, and have been forewarned that a tip is expected to photograph people or private homes in some areas.

Do you know what is an acceptable (and expected) amount? I'm not opposed to the idea, but I'd like to know what is reasonable in advance. Normally I never photograph people or enter private property without permission anyway.
