Suggestions and advice for teenager first time abroad as german exchange student

Jump to last reply

I’ve come to all you seasoned travelers for your best tips, suggestions and advice for my teenage daughter who will be going to Germany for a month in the summer on a short exchange program.

While we have traveled within the US a few times by air, she is for the most part, an inexperienced traveler who has never been abroad. Never having been out of the country myself, I do not have travel savvy knowledge to share with her about what to do and what not to do.

I’m sure the exchange program will give additional info as the date approaches, but being a planner, I’m trying to look ahead and anticipate some of the kinds of things I should be telling her. Thanks for any help you can offer.
