If it makes you feel better, I failed. I travel at least 3 times a year by plane and have never seen one.
sassy - you wouldn't see one whilst travelling by plane, you need to be on the ground to spot them.

Those things are wonderful!
A normal passenger would practically never see one, they're often slightly off from the airport itself.
I always pick the aisle seat.
