Problem Viewing Email Travel Photos

I have been having a problem with my yahoo email on my new computer. When I receive an email with a photo attachment, the thumbnail at the bottom of the message is not displayed. Instead, there is a blank space where the thumbnail should be. There is no red X or anything at all in the space. The name of the file shows below the space, as well as the size of the file and the "view" button. But I get no preview photo. I can see the photo in full size if I hit the view button, but it would be very nice to see the thumbnails beforehand, as I could on my old computer. Any ideas what I could do to fix this problem?
