via private car with driver from Rome; is it feasible, time wise(and enjoy the sights) to see Pompei scavi, walk the rim of Mt. Vesuvius and then drive the Amalfi coast to browse around Sorrento and Positano? Or am I pushing too much into a day trip. I plan on taking the Pompei ruins tour (about 2 hrs), walk the rim on my own(in pretty good shape)-45 min.-1hr and then on to the coastal towns. I am unsure of the driving distance between each. I do not want to see Naples. What is there to see, stop and do between Rome and Pompei should the Sorrento/Positano excursion fold.
Is Sorrento and Positano even worth the time?
