Hello. We are going to Munich tomorrow, through Monday with our 4 year-old-son. Can anyone recommend a good area for us to stay and perhaps a hotel or B&B? We would like to be in a quaint, but urban, area with shops, restaurants and cafes. We will have a rental car so we don't have to be near public transpo but do want to be in the city. The plan is to visit Munich sites Friday and Saturday then roll down through Bavarian Alps to Neuschwanstein on Sunday. Would be nice to stay in a little down on the way to or from Neuschwantstein on Sunday night. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

eurocheapo..com/munich
www.otel.com both good for no bid.
betterbidding.com best deals bidding priceline.com
usually 4 stars from $70 Happy Hunting!
Might consider posting up in Europe for more responses.
welcome to Fodors Rachabroms. You need to re-post over on the Europe forum (see the 'Change Forum' pull down menu? )
$100 is about £70-ish. Pus you'll need parking. You should get on this immediately because you have left things quite late. Despite what our qwo advises to nearly every new poster, you can't really use priceline. It only guarantees doubles and that usually doesn't include space for even a 4 yo. And PL definitely doesn't guarantee parking.
qwo: I've never seen you return to a thread to respond after your first hit . . But just in case: You recommend the very same things to every question. eurocheapo and priceline are simply not practical/feasible for many situations.
