With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I'm sure there will be a number of new engagements coming up. If you could pick anywhere in the world, where would you recommend someone get engaged?
I would have to say a Tahitian waterfall (based on my personal experience), but I'd love to hear your ideas, whether it's a tropical island or a classic city location.
Thanks!

I agree with qwovadis.
Eiffel Tower in Paris or
Out on your own terrace at the Aspaki Hotel in Oia, Santorini or the Castle Hotel in Oia, Santorini (artmaisons.gr)
It's less the exact location and more the experience. Engaged in Paris can be amazing or just cliche. Remember to take your partners personality into account... a fancy candlelit dinner is boring for me, but extremely romantic for many women.

Spend a day out having adventures and exploring a city, beach or region. In the middle of that adventure is a perfect time to propose. For me, the middle of a safari, hiking on the Great Wall or a similar adventure would be perfect. If someone asked me to marry them after a few hours of laughing and having a fantastic time, while my hair was going in every direction and I was probably sweaty and dirty, I would consider it one of the most romantic proposals possible. That means that my partner paid attention and knew the things that make me happy, and didn't just go for the Hollywood cliche proposal. Every couple is different.
Iowa_Redhead - I agree 100%. Though I do still love to here different stories and special locations.
My now husband and I were in Tulum, Mexico, overlooking the beautiful ocean amidst the ruins.
I had to say, this would be a wonderful place for a proposal... and he took the hint.
I'd like to be watching the sunrise or sunset at Bryce Canyon. We'll see if it happens...
