Last minute deals

We are looking to go somewhere in the US this summer for a few days. We are both teachers so can go almost any time. We want really good airfare so just looking for any place interesting. What's the best travel web site to try to find a last minute deal? Everytime I get emails from Kayak, Expedia, etc. and click on the "Great deals", they are never available.
