what kind of inanimate service tools/equipments should be necessary provided in hotel room (in bedroom, bathrooms)? And should NOT be necessary? -for example: AC, TV, Remote, Toiletries, Slippers, etc.

AC, hairdryer, minibar- so I can stow my water etc, safe, TV & Remote w/ some english channels! Those are my hope fors!

Plus -- a lot depends on where in the world you are talking about and the room rates. What is expected in a cheap 2 star place in Croatia would be different than in an expensive suite in New York City.

If that's what you are asking -- then it is unanswerable w/o some details about your destination(s) and budget. Not being difficult- honest. But there are NO general rules except cleanliness.

What amenities are normal are almost totally dependent on the city/country and $$$ amount.

A/c for instance is almost 100% mandatory in parts of the USA but almost unheard of in some major cities in Europe. Heck -even washcloths -- every American hotel/motel provides them. Very few European hotels would even think of doing so.

I've learnt my lesson about European hotels not providing washcloths, so always take my own (then throw out when I leave).
What I can't do without is a TV - no matter where I am, even if I don't understand the language, I always like to have the telly on.
The other thing is I think they all should provide kettles - like they do in the UK (even at the cheapest place they have kettles and tea facilities).

I agree that it really depends on your location and what you are spending. I realized after a recent vacation in Europe. In one city in particular we stayed in three different hotels throughout the week. The only difference between the 4 star American hotel and the 2 or 3 star European hotel was airconditioning!

It depends the price you pay and the kind of hotel you choose.

I have stayed at hotels with no television or no A/C for example, when I was on budget vacations at the beach in Mexico or Hawaii, but I knew that was what I was getting. In my preferred price range I almost never get toiletries like shampoo, etc. Usually just a little bar of soap is all.

So I don't get the "should NOT be necessary"part. If I was paying for the Four Season, yah they could throw in use of a bathrobe or some slippers I guess -lol!!!

As long as a room is safe and CLEAN, doesn't smell weird, has AC, hot water, and comfortable beds, I'm pretty satisfied. I like to have a small fridge, an ice machine somewhere nearby, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board but can live without them. I do not care about fluffy robes and slippers, a TV, toiletries, or outdated decor.

Clean, safe, comfortable bed, hot water, towels that aren't threadbare or itchy. A clock of some sort is appreciated but not essential.
I don't need AC most of the places I visit, indeed can't stand the noise of most ACs. Likewise with fridges - they can be really noisy, so are not essential to me.
I always take my own toiletries so I don't need those. I never use wash cloths so I don't need them either. Nor do I need slippers, bathrobes, a TV, goldfish bowl, fruit bowl, butler....

They might be nice additions (if I could afford them) but aren't essential.

I also really don't care about a great view. I spend little time in a hotel room. It's a place to sleep, shower, and leave my stuff.
