Huge question
This April I'll be going to Europe for a month and am traveling by train and/or plane to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Vienna, Salzburg, and flying home from Zurich (just doing an overnight there). I'm spending approximately three days in each place. I know this is an enormous question, but I would love to hear recommendations for these cities (except London and Paris, which I know well). Any activities you'd recommend, or places to visit, or restaurants to eat at? Any help is appreciated.

OK I'll try Amsterdam...
I was solo in Amsterdam for five days and enjoyed it.
I did not so much care for the central area around the train station, the Dam, although walking thru the Red Light District was interesting.
I really liked the canal rings, and out in and around the Leidseplein and Vondelpark areas.
I did not go to the usual famous museums, which of course you can find in the guidebooks. Two wacky ones I went to were the Museum of the Tropics (it was a rainy day) interesting in a strange way, and one of the erotic museums which was pretty fun.
I saw amazing fire dance street performers one evening on Leidseplein square.
As far as solo and safety, A'dam seemed to me a city where things can change with the turn of a corner. Not that I felt in grave danger, but the day I walked all the way to the part of town for the tropics museum I wandered thru parts of town that felt a bit empty (one spot by the river i am guessing drugs as people were sleeping rough under park benches, like that).
I ate at a Greek restaurant a couple nights, a tourist place but the staff was welcomg and the food was OK. My tastiest meal was to-go food from an Italian cafe where you bought things by weight and I took back to my hotel, it was fantastic food (both near Leidseplein).
I stayed at Hotel Kap, which was a fair price and included a nice breakfast. I liked the location. And best of all they sold a chilled bottle of nice white wine inexpensively and sent me up to my room wine glass in hand.

Il take Krakow
Fantastic mexican restaurant in the main square as well as a very good steakhouse. Lots of underground bars all over the city,if you wanna go out to visit aushwitz you should get a bus from the station only cost 14 zloty return where as a tour package costs 80 zloty. you can hire a guide when you get out there, same deal with the salt mines, the castle is also a must see, thats all i got into my 2 and a half days, great city...

I have gone solo to London, Paris, Salzburg & Amsterdam....I think I posted some stuff on the Europe board a few years back if you want to search my screen name.
The Anne Frank house in Amsterdam was interesting as was a tour I did of a houseboat (if I went back I would try to stay on a houseboat).
See the tulip fields (I think April is the perfect time).
In Salzburg I did the Sound of Music Tour - touristy but I loved the movie so I had to do it. There were several walks I did using Rick Steves book. Lots of quiant shops.
