Honeymooning in south Lake Tahoe! We need tips & advice! Thanks!
Hi travel lovers! We are honeymooning in south Lake Tahoe at the Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort at the end of October this year. We have never been there before and would welcome any tips and advice on the resort, places to eat, and fun things to do. We will have a rental car to get around and are planning on staying there a week. My fiance is a golfer so tips on some good courses would be great too! Thanks for your help!

At the end of October don't let your fiance get his heart set on golf. Make plans but October is a little unsettled with weather.
Make sure to drive over to explore the waterfalls at Emerald Bay. There is a parking lot on Hwy 89 that is at the inner-most spot of the bay. There is the waterfalls on the East side of the Hwy that fall down into the Bay and then if you walk up the path west from the parking lot you will find another. There are more but these are the easiest to get to.
I haven't been in so long I need to make the time to go again.
I don't know if it exists still but there used to be a great place to get sandwiches. I remember it being in the Homewood area on the West side. There was a Nursery and part of the main building was where they made these incredible sandwiches on home made bread and rolls. They were so big I would get one and save 1/2 for the next day. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the place but the Nursery was pretty hard to miss.
Even if you take a few drives around the Lake make sure you give yourslef time to just stop and explore!

Thanks so much! My fiance grew up in Michigan and has golfed in every kind of weather! He is a hard-core lover of the game! I however will be in the spa in case of inclement weather- Ha! Is it a possibility of snow that early??

Not typically snow but it could be sunny and it could be raining. It could be cold or it could be no jacket weather.
BTW, after searching for the Deli it turns out it is now in Reno. If you are going into Reno look this place up.

You will get lots more response if you post on The United States forum. "Travel Tips & Trip Ideas" is really more for general travel tips/info. It gets a tiny fraction of the activity/views/posts that the USA forum does. Most Tahoe experts won't see your questions here . . . . .
