Honeymoon Ideas for February 2016

My fiance and I are planning a delayed honeymoon due to our wedding being right before the holidays. My original plan was Paris, Cinque Terre, Greek Islands which won't work in February due to weather. Looking for suggestions that include sunshine! Thanks.

What are you into, and how long do you have to go somewhere? Any idea of a budget.

It's summer in the Southern Hemisphere, so you can get nice sunny weather in:

-Thailand
-Brazil
-Australia
-Oman
-India
-South Africa

and many other places!

How about Thailand or Malaysia?

Any extra info on your budget and preferences could help narrow it down.

Hmm. I haven't set a budget. I really just want to go somewhere where I won't be super gungho about wanting to constantly site see and do things as I feel like my fiance and I should relax for the most part. It needs to be somewhere warm with activity options, but not so many that I want to constantly be moving. I am thinking Caribbean, Galapagos, Tahiti... Maybe?

I HIGHLY recommend Tahiti.......depending where you are coming from, sometimes you may need to spend the night there, but I would then take a flight to Moorea which is right next door....its AMAZING!!!! Great relaxation but also activities available if needed. Spend a few days there and take a flight to Bora Bora. I loved Bora Bora, but actually preferred Moorea.

If you want sun, lots of tropical places like Thailand, Malaysia, VietNam, Bali are lovely and have great beaches. In the southern hemisphere, Tahiti, Australia, South Africa are possibilities.

Australia! Take a boat a boat and tour the Whitsundays (a beautiful group of islands)... finish up with a few days in Sydney. February is the perfect time of year for Australia.

*Thailand- I've been going for about 17 years and was last there Dec/Jan. I absolutely love Thailand.

*Malaysia- The E&O Hotel in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia was one of the most relaxing weeks that I've had. I was there in Jan 2015.

* Other areas of Malaysia- I can't remember, off the top of my head, all the places that I've visited. But, Malaysia is inexpensive and there's a lot of variety. A Malaysian acquaintance and I did take a day trip, Jan 2015, from Kuala Lumpur to Sepang and it was great. There were tiny, fish eateries along the coast where we grabbed an inexpensive meal. We also went by the Avani Resort which was fabulous. I first went to Malaysia in 2002 and the prices are still really good even now.

*Bali- a lot to do on Bali and a lot of accommodations to choose.

*New Zealand/Australia-I like both. NZ is beautiful.

*Africa-so many countries to choose from. I've done Morocco,Tunisia, and Ghana twice.

As far as the S.E. Asia destinations, more than one country can be visited on the same trip.

Happy Travels!
