Help, planning honeymoon!!!
Hi,
We are mid 30's professionals that are about to tie the knot. I'm in charge of the honeymoon and need help. We were planning on the southern island of New Zealand and decided on something warmer. We want something tropical, but don't want to sit on a beach and read. My favorite girl has become quite the "adventurer" and loves to mix it up. Kayakin', snorkelin', whitewater raftin' ,hiking, zip-linin', swimming in waterfalls, you name it, she's up for it. I love all of the above, but my passion is surfing, so if there's surf, even better. We have a budget of $5000 and only want to spend a couple of nights in a really nice place, other than that, we can go low budget if we need to. My Bachelor party is in Costa Rica, so that's out. Some possibilities Kauai, Samoa, Bali, ect..... Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Kauai would seem to fit your bill exactly. Tropical - check; Surfing - check; Kayakin' - check; Snorkelin' - check; zip-linin' - check; hiking - check; waterfalls -check; rafting - check (although I don't think any whitewater).
Here's my trip report if you want more info:

Try Belize you wouldnt regret it. English speaking, beautiful snorkeling and great adventure opportunities. Diving, fishing, river tours, wild life viewing, jaguar reserve, cave tubing and swimming. Repelling and abseiling down a 300 ft sink hole. Mayan ruins and much more.
If any one needs some advice on Belize I am all ears

I would definitely look into Costa Rica. We were going to get married and then honeymoon there but most of the family said they didn't want to travel that far. Costa Rica has everything you're looking for...zip lining, surfing, kayaking and some of the most beautiful resorts.

I agree with jarred. Kauai sounds perfect for you. You can go kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, ziplining and do a combo tour with the waterfall tour, surfing of course, snorkeling. Another popular activity is the tubing adventure in kauai.
It's also a beautiful romantic island perfect for a honeymoon.
congratulations on the engagement.
